Our Vision for the Future

At Noah’s Ark CARES, we envision a Singapore where no companion animal is left behind because of age, financial hardship, or unforeseen life circumstances.

As Singapore’s population ages, we aim to become the leading safety-net organization for vulnerable companion animals and the people who care for them—particularly seniors and lower-income familieswho may struggle to provide ongoing care for their beloved pets.

Our future focus will extend beyond rescue and rehoming to building a comprehensive People & Pets Safety Net, ensuring that families can remain together with their pets during times of need. 

Key initiatives may include:

• Pet Food Support – pet food banks, emergency food assistance, and community outreach programmes.

• Basic Medical Aid – veterinary assistance funds and emergency treatment support for families facing financial difficulties.

• Support for Senior Pet Owners – home visits, transport assistance, and contingency planning to ensure pets continue receiving care as owners age.

• Crisis Prevention – early intervention programmes to reduce pet abandonment, surrender, and neglect caused by financial or social challenges.

The nationwide pet licensing initiative presents a timely opportunity for NAC to better understand the needs of pet-owning households, gather meaningful data, and develop evidence-based programmes that strengthen support for both people and pets.

By championing the connection between animal welfare and ageing-in-place, NAC seeks to create a distinctive and lasting impact in Singapore—helping seniors or low-income families enjoy the companionship of their pets while ensuring that animals remain safe, cared for, and loved throughout their lives.
