Some animals especially cannot safely return to the streets or be adopted. And older animals, animals with medical needs, or animals that are too traumatized for them, we provide a safe and familiar place where they can live out their lives with dignity.
Our shelters care for:
· Street dogs and cats from Jurong Island
· Older and unadoptable animals
· Animals requiring long-term medical care

Beyond shelter care, we continue to feed and monitor free-roaming dogs and cats. Regular feeding allows us to observe their health, identify injuries or illnesses early, and possibly sterilisation or medical intervention when needed.

Although rehoming has never been our main focus, we do sometimes rehome suitable animals whenever possible.
Before any animal is offered for adoption, we assess its temperament, personality and readiness for home life. We do not rehome aggressive animals.

Our animals are regularly handled by caregivers, leash-trained where suitable, and given basic obedience training before adoption.
Most importantly, if an adopter is no longer able to care for the animal, we require the animal to be returned to us. Noah’s Ark CARES was its first safe place, and it will always remain a safe place.

Education about responsible pet ownership is essential for long term attitude towards companion.
We encourage pet owners to sterilise their companion animals. As it prevents unwanted litters but as well as improve animal welfare and health. Early sterilization may help to reduce roaming behavior and does lower the risk of certain cancers and reproductive diseases.

Effective large scale animal welfare work requires cooperation between animal welfare organisation.
Noah’s Ark CARES actively engages with NParks, AVS and other animal welfare groups to support joint projects, improve stray management outcomes, and strengthen Singapore’s animal welfare ecosystem.

· Rescue of vulnerable, injured or abandoned cats
· Long-term care for cats who cannot be safely returned or rehomed
By working with caregivers and the wider community, we are able to prevent unwanted pregnancies whilst reducing the stray cat population.

At Jurong Island and Sungei Tengah, we care for dogs who have not been able to be rehomed due to age, temperament, health conditions or past trauma.
